NEW everyday must-haves that up my make-up game

I simply cannot fathom that a year ago these beautiful things had not met the contents of my make-up bag. I simply did not have them in my life. Mind blown. These have now clearly become staples that I cannot complete a face a of make-up without and are multi-tasking essentials I would recommend everyone to invest in.

Okay first up is the Michael Kors Bronze Power in Flush. I've had this in my make-up stash since a while now but only discovered it about a year ago and was instantly addicted. It puts all Charlotte Tilbury, Bobbi Brown and NARS blushers to shame. Not sure what secret sauce is that Michael has injected in this but boy it's gorgeous. There's a truck load of product here (21g) that simply won't hit pan no matter how much I use it. It magically replenishes overnight? You tell me! The shade is this multi-dimensional, bronzed reddish-pink with the most finely milled, golden shimmer embedded in the pigment. It goes on like a dream and there are no patches, no fading, no tell-tale lines with this. I mean I didn't know it was possible for a powder to even be so smooth. The result is this healthy model-like flush that gives you a glow like you've just come back from a beach holiday. Don't get me wrong, you can still tell it's make-up but in the most beautifully blended way possible that compliments my olive skin tone so well.

Urban Decay All Nighter Make-up Setting Spray. Of course we've all heard about this when this was introduced originally. It was hard not to buy it when YouTubers and Instragrammers constantly drenched heir face with it. But if you're someone who isn't affected by peer pressure and thought you don't need a magical liquid to set your make-up, you're wrong this time. If like me you've developed a few fine lines and creases on the face over the years, you'll know how sometimes in the winter when its dehydrated and flaky, make-up can settle into lines. And sometimes in the summer when your foundation seems to be melting off your face and all you can do is blot? This solves the problem and glues your make-up to your skin exactly where it's meant to be for hours. It's not just a claim they have plastered on the back of the bottle, it's true and it works quite well. Unlike primers that claim to hold on to your make-up (they NEVER worked for me) you can actually see the results with this.

Another Urban Decay gem here, the Afterglow Highlighter in Fireball. This is the mother of all highlighters if you have strong yellow undertones in your skin tone like me and none of those champagne highlighters do anything to give your skin a pick-me-up. It's not for the faint hearted though. It's this unapologetic iridescent peach with pink shift. The light diffusing pigments give this a strobing like effect and the result it this stunning layer of peachy-pink goodness that somehow perks up sallow skin tones and gives it the boost of saturation and colour it needs. If you're on the hunt for a cool toned highlight but don't want something quite obviously silver then go for this.

Artdeco Luminous Skin Stick. Its mind boggling to me why something so stunningly runway yet affordable and wearable didn't go viral! Before I rave, it's currently on sale on Beauty Bay for £13.65. Don't wait for every influencer on your feed to give this the seal of approval before you check it out. It's something you'll want to repurchase for life. I don't have a similar product in my stash to compare this to. It's a cream highlight on a stick to begin with but it doesn't have a specific shade. It's almost translucent and unbelievably glossy on the skin with a plethora of micro fine pearls shot through it. I personally use it to freshen up my skin midday when it's started to look drab and dab it on the forehead, bridge of the nose and high points of the cheeks to add some dimension and glow back to the skin.

MAC Mineralize Concealer. I know, I know. In a world obsessed with Glossier, Fenty Beauty and  Huda Beauty concealers, I'm a hard core MAC fan. I always have been. It's something that works for me hence something I resort to unquestionably. This baby is new to me and I was forced to chose it when MAC decided to discontinue its Select Cover Up concealer, one that I had used for almost a decade. Keeping my grudge with MAC aside for a while, lets focus on the Mineralize Concealer. I'm an NC30 and use this primarily around the mouth to cover up any sort of pigmentation. This does a great job at camouflaging the grey in that area and lifting the skin tone so it matches the rest of my face. It does not crease which is crucial for me and lasts the whole day without needing a top up, another must-have for me. Having said that, it's not as high coverage as the Select Cover Up that I will eternally miss but it's an exceptional alternative.

Add these to your to-buy list that you've been adding stuff to since the middle of May with the hope that 31st only comes quicker, hah. Pay day is almost here!
