Sephora Cream Lip Stains and why you need them!

Shade 13

Forget Huda Beauty's Liquid Matte's or Kylie's lip kits, these babies from Sephora have been on the market way before numerous brands jumped on the matte lip bandwagon and they've been slaying it since then. Why are they not as popular as these two brands you ask? Well, lack of a modern colour selection in my opinion (they don't do 50 shades of nude-beigy-pink) and the fact that they're not easily accessible. Being in England, the only time I've managed to lay my hands on them is when I was in Algarve, Portugal once and when my lovely friends visit the United States of America and volunteer to bring them over for me.

I have showered and swam in this (don't remember why!), tirelessly worn it amidst terrible humidity and bitter cold (think India and Iceland) and it has always come out a winner. There is literally no element that can dampen its sparkle. Just a tiny dab on the centre of the lips is plenty to provide full coverage for hours so there's definitely value for money here. I've hardly ever had to top this up mid-day but what I adore most about it is that I never and I mean ever have had to worry about this fading, flaking, smudging or wearing off in an unaesthetic way.

Shade 38 has been my absolute favourite since years and I'm on my third tube now as you only need a tiny bit to get you through years of usage. This is the most gorgeous cool pink, with a hint of purple to it. It lifts my complexion, goes well with a generous coat of bronzer, a soft blush and warm-toned colours on the lids.

Shade 13 is a fairly new one to my collection but if you're into shades like MAC's Modesty/Mehr/Jubilee and Charlotte Tilbury's Pillow Talk, you'll treasure this. It's the most stunning concoction of all shades pink, brown and beige - the victorious. everyday no-brainer. As for undertones, it's neither too cool nor too warm, just a perfectly balanced neutral number.

Shade *yet to find out*, unfortunately, is one that has it's shade sticker come off from the tube so there's literally no other reference available to what this might be. It's a maroon that inclines more towards a dark reddish purple and has a tad bit of shimmer thrown in to give it oomph. The perfect choice for a night out, the shade is a great one to succumb to when a red lip doesn't cut the mustard.

Shade 03 is a fiery scarlet Marilyn Monroe would have loved to own. It's refreshing, bright and modern. Perfect for a pool party in the summer or lounging in a beer garden on a warm summers evening. It goes wonderfully with matte skin, a slick of eyeliner and tonnes of mascara.

I have tried Huda Beauty's Liquid Matte's and personally, I don't think they compare to this BUT a review on those later!
