Anastasia Beverly Hills - Dip Brow Pomade

How I lusted and pined after Anastasia's brow products for months before rounding up on one purchase. Somehow, the company's social media manages to make me want to purchase their entire stock. Good job peeps!

I have tried their brow powders before as part of a kit that is now discontinued so you can imagine I've been crushing on them since yonks. The final face off was between their Brow Wiz and Pomade. The Brow Wiz pencil is universally loved and approved but the Pomade's texture and formula sounds so innovative and old Hollywood at the same time. I thought why not live life on the edge eh? Everyone's got that damn pencil so I went for the Dip Brow Pomade.

The shade selection was an uphill battle. With fifty shades of brown to scan and scrutinize from, I choose 'Medium Brown'. A shade that seemed to have a bit of brown, a hint of grey and an overall sense of ashiness to it. Naturally, I have scanty, grey-ish growth on the brows so anything too warm can easily make me look like someone from TOWIE.

Fast forward three weeks and I am in love with the purchase. Get yourself a semi-stiff brow brush (mine's a really old one from Bdellium tools) and this pot is addictive. I find myself with 'brows on fleek' even when I'm in my jammies on a lazy Sunday. It's everything I thought it would be. The product is pretty much of a gel liner consistency, not too dry nor too emollient. The rest is up to your skills. I would suggest starting from the middle of the brows and working your way towards the edges. You want the most amount of product deposited in the centre so as you move to the edges, it's a gradient blend if you know what I mean?

You can build up the colour to look as natural as you want or as Huda Beauty-esque as you'd like. A light shower or a muggy day don't seem to affect its longevity. If like me, you think you've perfected your make-up game but you could still get those brows to look a tad bit better, get this baby and you'll have an Instagram ready face in minutes. If you follow me on Instagram, you'll see me wear this in every photo in the last two weeks.
