Okay, so I've been LOVING these two products here and thought I had to tell you guys about it. They are not of the same make, texture or formula but in a nutshell, they seem to address a homogeneous problem - a parched complexion.
I don't know about you but for me, even the hot and humid weather doesn't automatically resolve chapped skin. I could be in Dubai or India's heat but there would still be those pesky little dry patches sprinkled in every nook and cranny of my face. I suffer from the first world problem of having combination skin. Oily and dry where it shouldn't be! SO, when my skin was recently going through the flaky skin trauma, these two saviours instantly came to the rescue.
Aussie brand The Jojoba Company founded by a father and daughter duo are responsible for the lovely Jojoba & Rosehip Oil (£16.95). Free from all nasties, the Australian grown Jojoba tries to mimic the wax our skin naturally produces. This one feels uber luxurious on application and you can literally feel it penetrate into the skin minutes after you slap it on. I like that it coats skin in this rich veil of hydration and you can actually see it quench those dry spots after a few religious days of use. None of that pore clogging, oils-give-me-breakouts kind of thing is linked to this baby. If you love yourself that post-facial, spa day glow - this leaves skin looking exactly like that. I like to dunk my face in this stuff on off-duty days when the outside world doesn't need to see me sans make-up OR it's without a doubt a product I grab from the bedside in my half asleep, half social media zombie mode post meridiem.
The cult favourite Embryolisse Lait Creme Concentre (£20) needs no introduction. With its usual location being photo shoots and in MUA kits, it's also a must-have in your skincare collection alongside those other SOS helpers. Tripling up as a face mask, primer and a moisturiser - this gem is multi talented. The French formula, suitable for all skin types feels soft and fluffy when squeezed out of the tube but rather opulent, comforting and rich when on the skin. You can feel the fatty acids and vitamins adding a protective layer to the skin, whilst replenishing the elasticity department. If you've been out in the sun too long or want to instantly curb any inflammation or skin allergies, this one's to be fully trusted. I like to use a tiny amount pre-foundation as it provides the perfect base for make-up to glide one. Great to use under matte foundations to ensure skin doesn't look withered at the end of the day.
