Artist Acrylip Stains By Make Up Forever

With the weather soon approaching sunny spells and Spring weddings, we ought to stay prepared with a new stash of colour popping lip numbers. The newest additions to my modest stash are these gorgeously glossy Artist Acrylip Stains by Make Up Forever. At first instance, they reminded me of the OCC lip tars that the blogosphere was obsessed with a few years ago. The shades are just lovely in a classic sort of way, with a true orange (300), warm coral (400) and deep raspberry red (401). Being orange averse, I mixed it with raspberry red and it effortlessly transformed to a pretty summer red with an orange undertone. The warm coral is an iconic red with pink undertones, what I like to call the Asian wedding lip colour. Ideal for MUAs wanting to create custom shades, these shades blend and adapt like acrylic paint. Its formula is literally like paint; slippery but does not bleed or feather uncontrollably. Use something in the line of MAC 231 small shader brush for great control when applying. Don't expect this to dry to a demi-matte finish as Acrylip stains are super glossy. But the pigmentation is so stunning and strong that you want to give gloss another chance.

All in all, Make Up Forever has created a stain that is light weight but not sheer in any sense. So you can comfortably wear a slick of uber-pigmented, uber-glossy lip, even on hotter days without it feeling heavy or dry. These would be perfect for night-outs, photo shoots and even on the runway. Basically, whenever you want to dazzle! In terms of longevity, I am psyched to wear this warm coral at a wedding party this weekend and see how it lasts an eight-hour bash. You can always pop down at Debenhams to try Acrylip stains yourself and discover its staying power on use.
