Lord & Berry Lip Crayons: Review And FOTD

With summer soon approaching, it’s time for that yearly Spring makeup de-clutter, where I spend hours rummaging through stacks of drawers, replacing old winter numbers with sprightly summer shades. Lord & Berry’s 20100 lip crayons are the latest addition to my budding summer stash. This hybrid gloss-balm textured range of moisturising hues is just what summer ordered!

First off, is the shade La Fiesta. Perfect for summer festivals, this 1990's inspired shade screams Katy Perry with its soft lilac hue. I am not very keen when it comes to Gothic, velvety purples for they need the right kind of accessorising to complete the look. But La Fiesta is totally wearable and surprisingly compliments my olive skin tone. This is not a pastel or milky lilac. It’s a true lilac with no hint of pink.  Wear this cool lilac with a graphic white liner, MAC Gingerly on the cheeks and dollops of mascara, and voila! You are all ready for the boho-chic, glamping outings this festival season.

Dynamic Red is a fun and flirty neutral red to compliment all skin tones, pale and deep. This eye-catching, sassy crayon is neither too cool nor too warm. It builds on really well whilst softening the lips on application. Lord & Berry’s emollient formulas can look cakey if you glide the crayon directly on the lips. Apply a bit in the middle and work your fingers through the outer corners, dabbing it for even coverage.

Naturelle is a gorgeous warm nude with no hint of pink. It has brown and yellow tones which easily complements warmer skin tones. With its well-hydrated base and balmy finish, it is very easy to pull off when you can’t pick what shade to wear with your bright, floral summer wear.

Fancy Pink is an all season must-have. I love fuchsia pink lips. They instantly brighten your skin tone, making you look awake for that Monday morning meeting while channeling a fun bold personality. Fancy Pink is a make your teeth look whiter kind of cool pink that would look stunning paired with a lovely cheek colour and a generous dose of bronzer.

I wish these crayons came as twisty sticks so I wouldn’t have to sharpen them. Are you listening Lord & Berry? Besides that, give these creamy lip smackers a try if you're looking to give your lip collection a bit of an upgrade.
