A sucker for all scents rose? You're in for a treat!
Named 'Rose Gold', it's a scent introduced by Monsoon that plays on the floral theme, especially rose. If I had to sum it up, I would call is a rose based, woody scent. But it has a plethora of other notes in it's formulation. There's opening notes of lemon and soft fruit, followed by tuberose, neroli and cyclamen, wrapped up with base notes of amber, musk, vanilla and Eastern woods.
On me, rose seems to be the dominant note followed closely by woody notes. Besides that, I feel the remaining ingredients work in harmony to highlight these two primary notes and avoid it from smelling sickly sweet or powdery. They keep the freshness and authenticity of the rosey scent alive, making the simple concoction stand out. It plays quite well in the longevity department and is found lingering around on the skin a good few hours after application.
The bottle is simple and classy and something that won't look dated on the dresser in a years time. Don't expect the perfume to be multi-dimensional and complex as it's not. It's something that cannot be labelled quickly and would easily work for all ages and seasons
