They have had us umming and aahing over their fleet of nail paints since years. It has one of the coolest stores in Westfield Stratford and is the one brand that can give MAC a run for their money when it comes to new releases. They've given us everything from pastels, neons and glitter to denim, leather and sometimes, even all of them combined! When I think of nail paint, it's the only brand I can think of in terms of accessibility, price point and the sheer genius with which they constantly innovate.
A make-up collection as the next step only made sense. #Brexit on the other hand, did not. I like how they have genuinely tried to stick to their ethos of being fun yet deviant in their collection, without releasing something for the sake of it. Everything from the packaging to the colours looks fun, quirky and summer-ey.
To be honest I wasn't expecting much. Only because a brand of such scale can easily get away with releasing something under average and still receive coverage and rave reviews. It's not like that however. All products have the right intensity of pigmentation and a wearable kind of finish. Yes, they look extremely vibrant but they translate moderately.
If you are starting out with make-up, looking to upgrade your collection for the Summer or want to gift your niece something cute but good quality, I would recommend the eye shadow palette, the blush stick or the luxestick lipstick. For make-up connoisseurs, I would recommend checking out the sculpt and glow highlighter, the brow pencil, kohl and eye liner as well as the bronzer. I know you may already have cult-favourites in your stash but they can get a little boring to go back to every day. These are perfect to add a dash of variety to your staples, take with you on a holiday or keep in the bag for the on-the-go touch-up's that spectators simply love to see on public transport.
