Claudia Louch Quad Corrector

I absolutely love Claudia Louch's base products. Her latest release, the Quad Corrector is brilliant. It may not be the first of it's kind when it comes to colour correctors but it's surely the best one I have come across in terms of quality. So, the palette contains four colour correcting pigmented cream products. There's a pale yellow, followed by a pastel lavender, pink and green. Unlike gimmicky correctors that I have come across earlier, these are potent when it comes to pigmentation. Albeit pastel, they show up on my tanned-olive skin tone and stay true to colour.

The formula of it is pretty emollient, making this a winner for parched-flaky skin type. It spreads like a dream on the skin and leaves a soft focused, photoshopped finish which is always flattering. Because it is creamy, there are slight chances of it creasing under the eyes but setting it firmly with some pressed powder helps.

If you were unaware, the yellow is to counteract any darkness or blue-purple shadows. Pink is a general brightener and so is the lavender that picks up sallow areas of the skin. Green on the other hand works to wipe away any redness. I obviously have my favourites, which are yellow and pink that work great with my particular skin tone.

Personally, I cannot wear it under foundation as I haven't done that for years. How I like to use it is on minimalistic makeup days, simply making up my face using a combination of these colours. The overall result is bright, even skin tone that looks naturally healthy, supple and radiant. These would be a great addition to any MUA kit or if you are always on the hunt for potent base products. Priced at £45, it's completely worth it as I see Claudia Louch products in the line of By Terry, Hourglass etc.
