It's been a while since I've dabbled my fingers into pots of eye shadow and just played around with it aimlessly. When this baby landed on my dresser, there was something about the emollient shades that just screamed 'play' and that's exactly what I did. Models Own are about to release this eye shadow palette on 1st July and it's just perfect. It initially reminded me of the Illamasqua Quad Palette as the metallic, jewel toned colours seemed familiar.
I have to admit that I did not get along well with Illamasqua's cream eye shadows from those quads. They creased on me like crazy and although the pay off was brilliant, there was no point as it crumbled in a creased mess in a matter of minutes. The Chrome Palette by Models Own has taken me by surprise in this department.
Although the texture is highly creamy and easy to apply, it someone manages to stick to the lids with absolutely minimal creasing. With six shades in there, three warm toned and three cool toned - I quite easily prefer the warmer ones. They also have better staying power. Plus the rich brown, copper and gold just seems to work well my olive skin tone. I'm wearing all of the three warm shades in the picture above. They blend so well that you can only see an overall foiled effect with a hint of dimension to it.
For £5.99, it's a bargain.
