Ethnic but modern, global yet feminine, bright yet earthy - KIKO's Modern Tribes Collection has it all. The packaging has been given so much thought to. It's classic and quirky at the same time. Something I'd want to keep safe in my collection and discover years later. I say that especially for the Essential Bronzer. It comes housed in this beautiful wooden box that almost looks like a keepsake. It looks stunning on the dresser and I wouldn't store it in a drawer as I would be too afraid to break it. Not only the packaging but the baked bronzer is finely milled and has a smooth colour pay off. It flaunts gorgeous earthy tones that don't look muddy at all. A must-have for Summer when you don't want a harsh contour.
The Kajal Eye Liner's are smooth and velvety too. Although not unique in colour or consistency, if you're looking to switch up those boring browns and blacks for something coloured for the warmer months, these would easily fill the gap.
The Free Spirit Lips & Cheek Sticks are my favourite from the collection! The colours aren't up my street but generally speaking, are absolutely spot-on for holidays, beaches and sunshine. I have shades 02 and 04, The former shade is quite coral-pinky with a pastel hint to it. Whereas shade 04 is a gorgeous mid toned pink that's not too cool or warm. These lip and cheek colours have a lovely slip to them and are super creamy to work with. I can see them working nicely on the cheeks due to the hydrating formula.
The Dawn to Dusk Mascara gives the perfect wide eyed, fluttery look without looking over the top. It would be perfect to take a look from the desk to the dance floor.
The Modern Tribes Face Brush has this nice and quirky curve to it. I believe it's made in a way to easily sculpt the cheeks with bronzer or contour colour. The bristles are super soft and flexible, perfect for delivering a light dust of colour. If you're a collector of quirky brushes, you'll want this in your collection.
Overall, I am pretty impressed with the collection as I am with mostly all KIKO collections. This one however is slightly more special and something you definitely need to check out for yourself.
