These two are undoubtedly the best lip combination I've found till date. I have always struggled with finding a decent nude lip combination. It could be due to the fact that my olive-golden skin tone with yellow undertones means that almost every nude lipstick instantly makes me look like a corpse. Not a good look at all.
I've owned Charlotte Tilbury's Lip Cheat in Pillow Talk since they launched. It's a soft nude shade with pink undertones. I absolutely enjoy wearing it on my own but I couldn't find a lipstick that would work just like it. Until of course I attended an Illamasqua make-up class and came across this beauty called 'Bare'.
Previously mentioned by Kaushal Beauty in one of her videos, I already had my eyes glued on it and surely knew what I wanted when we were offered a discount after the class. One thing I'd like to highlight about this lipstick is that it definitely looks different on every single skin type, let alone your original lip colour. A word of caution, please don't rely on swatches online as it may look a little off on you.
In my case, I tested it out for good few minutes at the store and found it was the perfect nude for me. It's got a little bit of peach, a little bit of brown and perhaps the slightest hint of pink thrown in it. All that somehow manages to balance out the colour to this milky beige goodness that it is. No tacky peach or orange looking lips - it's a true nude lipstick that blends in like a dream with Charlotte Tilbury's Pillowtalk.
Get your hands on these, right NOW. Both of these are usually out of stock at most places. No pressure!
The swatches are stunning! I would love to try both of these and I'm excited to have discovered your blog as we have similar skintones (though I can already hear my bank account crying!
