Weleda Skin Food has been a backstage essential since years. A multi-purpose, rich, emollient cream that can be used for everything from healing bruises to quenching parched skin. I have gone through two tubes of it and only because the potent product needs to be used absolutely sparingly. Yes there have been the occasional times when my skin has been more on the oily-combination side and this has caused a little breakout but most of the times, it works absolute wonders for my skin. It feels so nourishing and extremely moisturising to use. I particularly love to smother this around the nose, on the chin, around the crow feet area and the usual elbows and knees. Recently I have been using it to repair chapped cuticles and surprisingly the rich concoction doesn't leave my hands feeling greasy at all. Calling it the 'Skin Food Saviour', Weleda have introduced this as a face mask nourishing treatment for dry-dehydrated skin. It comes with a muslin cloth which can be dampened with warm water and applied all over the face to open up pores. Followed by layering a light veil of skin food all over the face, leave it on for 10-20 minutes depending on how pruney your skin is and then gently remove it again with a damp cloth. It's such a treat to use once a week and leaves my skin glowing, plump and juicy. Must-try!
Added to my wishlist, loving these ingredients!
