I am not sure about you but I
personally have always been fascinated with cushions. Just like little details
such as shoes and accessories make up an apparel, I have always felt home
accessories define a personal living space. Giving it an identity – cushions and throws are the easiest way
to convert brick walls into a home. Whether you like to go quirky, cute, chic
or classic, there is something out there for every sort of home décor connoisseur
or rookie. Unlike before, the choices available in cushions online is
extravagant these days, leaving one spoilt for choice. Rummaging through the
web, I came across a British brand called Beulah-Home, which has been in
existence since 2012 and aims to revitalise the British knitting industry.
Having a good browse through their collection, it seems like they take
inspiration from all things vintage, textured and jacquard, merging it with
modern day designs to give it an effortlessly classic look and feel.
The patterns are simplistic,
clean and minimalistic almost but with an edgy knit and a sumptuous dip of
colour. Colours can make or break home accessories but these cushions online have got it right till
the very last detail, including precise shades that are universally likeable. Think
fashion forward greys, warm mustards, duck egg blues, fresh peaches and nude
pinks. Unlike departmental stores where choice is limited and colours are restricted
to basic primary ones, these cushions and throws by Beulah-Home are almost
their fashion week counterparts. Having said that, even the pop of colour on
these cushions wouldn’t stop me from plonking these colourful beauts in my
neutral cream living room. There’s something so versatile and aesthetically
pleasing about the designs that most shoppers wouldn't hesitate before pairing
them with wooden floors, a rustic backdrop or a crisp white layout for
instance.
They also stock throws, rugs and
lampshades in similar delicate patterns as their cushions online and the images
alone are a nice indication of the lovely quality hence justifying the price
point. Their ‘Natural Collection’ in cushions is my absolute favourite! The
boutique designs are 100% cotton but what I adore about them is how cosy,
earthy and easy to style they are. Great if you’re going for a boho-chic or
ethnic/laid back theme in your home, making a comfortable atmosphere for friends
and family to just relax and kick back.
Unlike me if you know a thing or
two about art and craft, I highly recommend you check out their Fabrics
section. It allows you to purchase their stunning knitted fabric used for their
products by the metre to indulge in some DIY furnishings and upholstery of your
own. I know upholstery fabric is a popular search amongst a few of you so I
thought I’d give you a heads-up in case you might be interested.
