Claudia Louch High Definition Foundation

When I initially received this to review, I really did not expect much out of it. I am fussy when it comes to liking foundations and we all know how difficult it is to find a good one that you love having in your collection. This one by Claudia Louch is something different. You know when you come across a new foundation, the initial reaction is to compare it with the ones you already own. I don't know about you but I always tend to do that. As soon as I put this on, it put me into deep thought as I couldn't really compare it to anything I had tried before. The consistency was light, it's finish - extremely dewy, the formula smoothed out easily and did not make the foundation less pigmented as I stretched the veil across the skin on my face. Just half a pump on the back of my hand and you can see how even spreading it out doesn't affect it's coverage - it's pigmentation net still just as dense.

The dewy, radiant finish of Claudia Louch High Definition Foundation is incomparable to my current foundation stash. It's really not your run-of-the-mill, light luminescence on the face kind of dewy. It's celebrity, red carpet dewy. As if your skin's glowing post-facial with a fresh layer of oils massaged in nicely. For dry skin girls, you'll love this! As for my oily-combination skin ladies, a good dusting of powder in the t-zone might be needed. The formula is long lasting, feels light on the skin if not invisible, looks gorgeously satin-like and provides a nice light-medium coverage. The foundation doesn't block pores which is great for sensitive skin types like mine, is allergy tested and 94% natural. Apparently it's created keeping in mind HD cameras and I agree as it automatically applies streak free without much effort on my part.

The shade I have is great one for those with medium golden/yellow/olive undertones in the likes of MAC NC30-35. The packaging could have been more luxe, heavy and glass like but it's in fact lightweight and easily portable. High marks for convenience but for £52 if you're expecting a dressing table centre piece (I'm guilty!), then you may be slightly disappointed. For pure quality, I'd say it's great to keep aside for those special evenings, red carpet occasions and weddings where you want a liquid base that will magically transform skin.
