KIKO Unlimited Stylo Long-Lasting Lipstick

These are just fab! If you are looking to add hints of bright bold shades to your collection, or soft, subtle colours for everyday wear, you have to check out the freaking amazing range by Kiko Unlimited Stylo. These babies are transfer resistant and water resistant in my experience with them. You can easily expect 6-8 hours of wear if you apply a good few coats and seal the edges in correctly with some concealer.

You'd expect such long lasting lippies to be intensely drying on the lips but surprisingly the texture of these is quite silky and velvety. It's sort of matte and sort of dewy, perhaps depending on the natural state of your lips when it comes to moisture. The pigment in these however is the most impressive. It immediately forms a veil of continuous, opaque colour no matter what your lip colour.

You know how some lipstick shades won't just apply as well on certain lip colours and will have the natural lip colour peeing through? This is so opaque that regardless of your natural lip colour, it lets you pull off any shade due to it's full coverage finish. I like the application tip of these as the sharp edges make it also easy to line the lips, so no need to have a separate lip pencil on hand. The shades I have is a peachy pink with a hint of pastel in it making it perfect for beach outings and a gorgeous pinky red that's cool toned and is a sure teeth-whitener for glamorous night outs.

BeautyLab Micropolish Dermabrasion

I love this product. It's like a modern hybrid between your typical creamy exfoliator and a glycolic acid peel. It's got the benefits of the regular exfoliator that brightens and lightens as well as that of an anti-ageing one that peels, rejuvenates and renews. Created to stimulate collagen production, it falls in the anti-ageing category but in my opinion, it's absolutely perfect for anyone who likes to invest in a quality exfoliator. One that doesn't scratch the skin, still feels traditional in a pot, yet effectively works at skin cell renewal. Named 'Dermabrasion', it immediately caught my eye as I'm fascinated by the procedure. Although it doesn't compare exactly to the thorough 45 minute treatment you'd get in a beauty salon, it's quite the kick-ass, quick fix you need at home.

It applies fabulously on the skin and is one of those consistencies that you can look forward to apply in the day. Somehow it manages to hit the perfect texture of creaminess and exfoliant beads. It's neither too abrasive nor overtly gentle, just spot-on for normal-combination-mature skin types. After use, I personally feel my skin looks much more awake. It's my trusty pick-me-up for days when my skin looks grey, literally. It injects some healthy colour, stimulates blood circulation and sloughs off dead skin cells that my regular exfoliator couldn't quite handle. It's an investment priced at £45 but as I mentioned above, if you like to invest in good skincare, its definitely worth checking out.

Love Me Beauty May Box

I love the variety in the Love Me Beauty Box this month. I woudn’t say it’s particularly seasonal but nonetheless, it’s exciting and has a bunch of quirky things thrown in which I quite like. First off, lets talk about the tea. It’s a caramel flavoured tea that’s extremely good for the body and has also been helping me detox. A lovely remedy to clear the body of all that unnecessary bloating after indulging in pizza and chips. What? Don’t tell me you don’t!

Personally, I am a huge stationary fan especially when it comes to cute and quirky bits. Hence I was obviously thrilled on having 3 cute pocket sized notebooks in the box. Whether you're a blogger or a YouTuber, you always need one to jot ideas on the go and these are the perfect size. I quite like the modern prints on them which are apparently done by a British designer.

The Nail Girl Nail Paint is a pale pink with a hint of lavender to it. It's not the best when it comes to one coat and you're done, but give it some time and patience to set and dry and it's quite the girly number for Spring/Summer. The 100% natural ginger flavoured lip balm is superbly intense on the lips and I can feel it working almost instantly. It's got a strong ginger scent too which I find very comforting.

My favourite out of the lot are the Suti Skincare Balms. Being an obsessive reader of Caroline Hiron's blog, it's no surprise I love finding out about new cleansing balms. This one's so lush and moisturising - perfect for dehydrated, flaky skin. You also get a foot balm and a purity balm alongside the cleansing one to get a good gist of their range. Me likey!

On the whole, although it wasn't quite beauty centred this time - I enjoyed the refreshing addition of non-beauty bits and bobs added.
