Runway Ready Skin Recreated

Regardless of changes in make-up, hair and apparel, a majority of runway shows I ogled over this season had one aspect in common, freaking fabulous skin. This is something that has never altered on those chiseled supermodel faces, be it Gucci or Prada that's being walked on the ramp. If you're looking to re-create that 'no-makeup' make up look which features a glow from within, thoroughly quenched skin, luscious plump lips and an enviable flawless radiance, here are some of my tried and tested winners from the skincare stash that can be used to recreate the sheer gorgeousness.

La Prairie Advanced Marine Biology Eye Gel. The more affordable range from La Prairie, these light green bottles of goodness are worth getting your hands on ASAP. Geared more towards younger faces, it's one that will de-puff lids and under eye area whilst your catch up on your daily snooze. The lightly hydrating formula feels soothing and calming on application and is a foolproof way to have bright peepers in the morn, no matter how much shut-eye you got the night before. Allowing you to slap only a teeny amount of illuminating concealer, it also lends a helping hand in the dark circles (read panda eyes) department. Ever seen a face on the runway with tired, puffy eyes? Me neither.

La Prairie Advanced Marine Biology Tonic. Upping the dose of H2o in your skin, this is another of my favourite product from the Marine Biology range that follows application of the above. A revitalising serum, this is one of those products that gets blood rushing to the surface of the skin, making it appear younger and healthier instantly. It's one of those seriously good wake-me-up skin perker's that can make one appear well rested and skin to look years younger. Get ready to be Id'ed again! On my combination-confused skin, the antioxidant and vitamin enriched formula works wonders and doesn't clash with the sometimes-dry-sometimes-crazy kind of skin situation going on. Being decently moisturising, you can skip moisturiser on an oily skin day but for a runway ready look, I'd say layer it up followed by...

Guinot Longue Vie Cellulaire. The only lush formula that I've come across from a French brand that firms and hydrates skin at the same time. Usually the two aspects seem to clash when it comes to face creams, with some being overtly firming and some, a bit too moisturising. This baby packed with 21 amino acids, Vitamins A, C, D & F is the perfect way to finish off facial skincare. Much like Charlotte Tilbury's Magic Cream, this wonderful formula packed with nutrients and minerals lends an anti-ageing hand to the skin and if you're younger, simply ensures you benefit from all the lovely, potent ingredients. A formula with a decent amount of slip, it allows one to finish the regime with some short yet firm massage movements under the cheekbone, on the cheeks, pinched through the jawline and a few taps on the forehead.

Decleor Aroma Solutions Nutri-Smoothing Lipstick. A concoction of delicious waxes and lush oils whipped up together and created into a lipstick bullet is the next best invention after sliced bread. No more messy hands and unhygienic pot containers lingering with bacteria. Just slide this on and massage  it into the lips with cotton bud to get rid of dead skin cells. Slather on another layer to seal in the moisture and you're good to go. The modern formula is hydrating without leaving a sticky film behind. Perfect for achieving those plump and supple supermodel lips with a demi matte finish.

Nuxe Huile Prodigieuse Golden Shimmer Dry Oil. The small golden particles in this glistening formula will leave face and body skin looking sunkissed minus the oompa loompa tan. With a pure bronzed goddess effect, you can expect skin to appear golden and exotic just like that spotted on the runway. Coat your arms, legs, neck and chest in a light veil of this and see it reflect back beautifully in daylight. The moisturising dry oil formula also ensures skin is quenched with just the right amount of moisture. No more cracked or chapped elbows and knees!
