Eid FOTD feat. Loreal Lumi Magique Foundation

I've been a bit too much in love with some foundations lately but most of all, it's Loreal Lumi Magique. It is one of those foundations that doesn't look out of this world when it first goes on. It looks light, dewy and radiant. My sister calls it 'beach makeup' because it almost looks invisible.

Give it a few minutes and bam, it looks amazing! It actually gets better as the day passes. What I love the most about it is how it dries to a satiny finish meaning no tacky feeling liquid sitting on the skin. My combination-dry-mental skin LOVES it. Does't break out, doesn't dry out. Loreal, I love you.

Regarding blending and application, it's not really that fussy at all. Blend it with your fingers, sponge or a brush. I love a flat top kabuki style brush for application. The shade I have in Lorea Lumi Magique (W3 Golden Linen) is something that's made me a happy bunny. I've never been happier with a foundation shade before. It's somewhere between NC25-30 and perfect for my currently pale yellow skin with olive undertones.

The coverage of it is light-medium, definitely not buildable or for those who like full coverage foundations. I feel this beats Rimmel Wake Me Up and Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundations without a doubt. On me it lasts an entire working day and will not budge or fade. It wears off decently which acts like the icing on the cake.

If you like light bases that don't feel heavy, even out skin moderately, set easily and look radiant, give this a go if you haven't yet. I personally like to get my coverage from concealers so such foundations are perfect for me.

Rest of my face is made up of:
Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer in 'Ginger' (You need this in your LIFE)
Sleek Contour Kit in Dark
Sleek Blush in 'Fenberry'
KIKO Sun Bronzing Blush
Miners Cosmetics Matte Factor 'Deep Red' (Must have!)
Smashbox Photo Set Finishing Powder
Sleek Eye Brow Kit
L'Oreal Liquid Eye Liner (It's a new one I don't remember the name of!)
Urban Decay Eyeshadow 'Toasted'
Pur Minerals Big Blink Mascara (Didn't like it. Makes my lashes invisible)

Hope everyone had a fantabulous Eid worldwide :)

Organic Surge Skin Perfecting Face Polish

I think this is a cleanser and an exfoliator in one. When I first read 'olive stones' at the back of the tube, I was a bit sceptical about how my skin was going to like it. I know that apricot kernels and all those abrasive little exfoliating beads are not the best for skin but this is actually quite a gentle one. I can feel the mircobeads against my skin when I am using this in the shower but not in a scratchy, unpleasant manner. I feel because it has more of a creamy texture, the effect of the beads can be overlooked. It also contains Rosemary and Lemon, Chamomile, Ginkgo and Almond Oil for purifying and hydrating the skin.

My skin doesn't really like the gel exfoliators with mircobeads as they tend to dry out my skin, leaving it parched and taut. I believe these are the ones that have 'foaming' written on them. Hence my favourite type of exfoliators tend to be cream and balm formulas as although they get rid of flaky, chapped skin effectively, they don't dry out the skin as much. I don't use this when I have a full face of make-up but rather reserve it for the mornings or for lazy weekends when my skin is more or less free from any sort of products.

If you're looking for a daily exfoliator and cleanser in one, this one's a nice cheap and cheerful option retailing at £6.49.

Loanswire - for Instant and easy cash loans before payday!

Payday is one of those things that seem so far away but when it's actually there, the money seems to run out more quickly than you'd ever anticipate it would. Yes we all go through that and you're just as normal as me!

So we know we're meant to save, spend wisely and think about the near future and all that grown up jazz but does an unexpected repair work in the house or the car understand that sentiment? For instance, just recently my sister had to get a root canal in her teeth re-done and after visiting a tonne of NHS dentists with despair, she finally had to settle for a professional on Harley Street. It's not the most practical thing to do, but it's not even an extravagant purchase that one can lecture her on. It's a tooth treatment at the end of the day and when government healthcare is as rubbish as in the UK, one has to resort to private measures which in this case turned out to be slightly more luxurious.

Now this is the sort of unforeseen expense that takes up any average salary and if you're paying rent, will leave you literally broke. For such circumstances, Loanswire seems godsend. It's a company that provides instant loans for a short period of time which you can apparently repay within 100 days! For those of you who know for sure that you will be repaying the loan with your monthly wage but just not yet, this is a perfect option. In case you've got bad credit history, they don't judge you and have the Easy Cash option for you instead which does not carry out credit checks (phew!) but rather charges you a slightly higher Interest rate to compensate for that.

If you've got a wishlist that sums up to a greater amount than your paycheck, apply for an instant loan and live your life on your terms. It's easy to compromise but even easier to pay back short term loans.

KIKO City Filter Sunscreen Primer SPF50

If you thought SPF of 50 was pricey or the texture of it was such that you can't practically wear everyday, here's a product that you will not be able to complain about. It's a yellow tinted lotion that multi tasks as a primer and sun protection. What's amazing about it is it's weightless texture where you cannot feel it on the skin at all. I have combination-dry skin at present and it works perfectly fine for that. Most importantly, if you can see in the image above, it dries to an invisible finish. I mean we are in 2013 at the end of the day where google glasses and 3D printers are about to hit households - we can at least have invisible sun protection now eh?

I am not sure about it's primer qualities and how it makes my make-up lasts longer as I really couldn't detect a dramatic enough change to report. It does however work as anti-ageing skincare by blurring out the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. I felt application of this neither dried out my skin nor made it appear more shiny, it just felt comfortable and radiant. Apparently it also works at combating dark spots which I shall report to you in 10 years time.

On the whole, I felt this was worth a mention as I know so many people who still don't wear SPF because they find it to be inconvenient, leaving a white cast, appearing chalky, feeling heavy on the skin or a tad bit pricey. This resolves any reason you'd have NOT to wear SPF. Just wear it all day, everyday okay? Retails for a super affordable £12.90. Me likey. Would never go back to SPF 30 ever again.

Label M Protein Spray - My hair loves this!

I love Label M products. They are professional with a team of hairstylists and salons behind their making and development. Plus they are affordable and come in generous sizes. Most importantly, they have always worked for me. As I said, if you want a salon finish at home then these products are a must, well at least for me.

My current love in their range goes to their Protein Spray. The product comes housed in a tall, hairspray like bottle. Inside is a mix of Jasmine, Vanilla, Sweet Pea, Wheat and Soy and one of these makes the spray smell gorgeous too. The purpose of the spray is to even out the porosity of the hair and replenish it with a protein kick.

For me, it's a little bit like a keratin treatment in a can, especially as you can use this from the roots to the ends and even the scalp. I feel the spray has made my hair thicker and stronger. It's one of those products that doesn't feel all that when you first apply it because if doesn't have silicones to deliver instant results but instead you notice a difference after you use it a couple of times. I have already thought of making a repurchase as it retails for a very reasonable £12.95.

Plus, I haven't actually come across a product termed 'Protein Spray' anywhere so it's a great one to have in the collection for days when you feel your locks feel dehydrated, weak and colour damaged. It's specially designed for colour treated hair to prevent damage and fading.

You can use it on damp or dry hair but I feel sprays work better on dry hair and I leave my creams and serums reserved for damp hair. It sinks into the hair quickly and makes them feel healthy and shiny. Not shiny and soft in a way that your fingers will slip off the hair but rather a I-just-had-a-protein-treatment-done shiny if you know what I mean.

I don't know what it's exactly done to my hair but I feel it's made it stronger. I see less breakage and split ends and more shine. It can also be used as a heat protectant and shields against UV rays which is the cherry on top as I didn't have a hair SPF.
