Organic Surge Skin Perfecting Face Polish

I think this is a cleanser and an exfoliator in one. When I first read 'olive stones' at the back of the tube, I was a bit sceptical about how my skin was going to like it. I know that apricot kernels and all those abrasive little exfoliating beads are not the best for skin but this is actually quite a gentle one. I can feel the mircobeads against my skin when I am using this in the shower but not in a scratchy, unpleasant manner. I feel because it has more of a creamy texture, the effect of the beads can be overlooked. It also contains Rosemary and Lemon, Chamomile, Ginkgo and Almond Oil for purifying and hydrating the skin.

My skin doesn't really like the gel exfoliators with mircobeads as they tend to dry out my skin, leaving it parched and taut. I believe these are the ones that have 'foaming' written on them. Hence my favourite type of exfoliators tend to be cream and balm formulas as although they get rid of flaky, chapped skin effectively, they don't dry out the skin as much. I don't use this when I have a full face of make-up but rather reserve it for the mornings or for lazy weekends when my skin is more or less free from any sort of products.

If you're looking for a daily exfoliator and cleanser in one, this one's a nice cheap and cheerful option retailing at £6.49.
