The Body Shop Vitamin E Cool BB Cream

If you love The Body Shop's Vitamin E Skincare range, you'll love what they have just brought out. Behold, yet another BB Cream. Now to be fair, The Body Shop hasn't bombarded us with BB creams so I am quite okay with them bringing out an affordable one, just in time for Spring/Summer.

It was such a relief to be introduced to this just in time for my Spring allergies.  It's super hydrating formula avoids flaky, chapped skin from peeping through. The best part is that the hydration aspect of it doesn't wear off after a few hours but lasts for an entire day.

The texture of the product is moderately thick as expected of a BB cream. It's not heavy feeling on the face or tacky in consistency, which is apparently one of the major complaints that people have when using such formulas. It in fact dries to a semi-matte, dewy finish without feeling goopy or 'wet' if you know what I mean.  It sinks right through and doesn't need any powder to set it.

The finish of this is quite radiant and naturally hydrating, as if skin is glowing from within. It might not be suitable for those with large pores or oily skin as it can tend to exaggerate that. As the formula is hydrating, it's perfect for those with dry, dehydrated and combination skin types.

The one-shade-fit-all of this as you can see on my hand is around a good NC/NW 30 in MAC which makes me believe it would be a tad bit dark for paler skin tones unless your purpose is to give yourself a little colour for the warmer months. Because it has a lovely golden/neutral under tone to it, it won't look ashy if used on deeper skin tones in my opinion.

Maybe I am having a good skin phase or something but I found the coverage to be moderately pigmented. Now of course it wont cover pigmentation and scarring but an odd blemish or two, it can easily handle. It's definitely not one of those uber light coverage BB creams that you cannot leave the house with.

Having said that, it's not a BB cream essentially but more like a hydrating and illuminating tinted moisturiser as I don't believe it contains an SPF. The best way I found to apply this is with fingers, how you would apply your regular moisturiser as it's a dream to blend and doesn't require any effort at all.

On the whole, if you hate the feeling of cakey foundation on your skin and are in the market for something light with subtle yet decent coverage for a tenner, go get this at thebodyshop.co.uk.

The Vitamin E line is the only skincare line I actually really enjoyed from the Body shop.. It's good to know that this isn't a sheer coverage.. Thanks for sharing! =D

I quite like the Vitamin E range too. Looking into trying their Vitamin C powder though which you mix with your moisturiser, certainly looks interesting.

I'm not a big fan of BB creams, I have tried to like them.

CC creams on the other hand, I love them! Espesh the one by L'oreal.
