My new Spring/Summer palettes from KIKO!

KIKO Makeup Milano is a range of make-up products that were born in Italy and have been adding a splash of colour through make-up since 1997. Have you seen their store in Westfield Stratford? It's like a little make-up factory almost with the diverse range of colours on display that can make you feel spoilt for choice. The brand is pretty much like MAC and Inglot if you are unfamiliar with it, minus the unnecessary monthly campaigns and the heavy price tag.

I got a bunch of stuff from them recently but I was mesmerised with these palettes as,

1. I am sucker for anything in palette form
2. They look stunning! I love splashes of paint on clothes, walls, shoes, cars - you name it
3. The quality hits the 'pretty, pigmented yet wearable' category

First up is their Multi-Tone Blush in Bold Coral. I hate coral and you know it. It clashes with the colour of my skin which is literally yellow and makes me look ill. I rather prefer faking pink cheeks as they make me look awake and fresh! This however is different. I have been wearing it religiously since the last week without fail. It actually looks super cute for this Spring-like weather and not like I have jaundice.

Can it be the blend of three shades of coral instead of one? Perhaps. Can it also be its super sheer quality and a consequent soft focus effect? Definitely. I can only compare it to a Sisley Phyto Eclat Blush I have which will burn your wallet for around £60. This stunner on the other hand comes in 4 shades for £11.90 a pop and you NEED all four is what I am saying.

Next up is their Multi-Tone Bronzer in Jovial Tan. I have two favourite Bronzers which I hardly ever deviate from that this baby has to compete with. Both foolproof and cult favourites so it won't be it's fault if it's a runner up. Chanel Soleil De Tan and Liz Earle Natural Glow Bronzer. This compared to both is deeper and richer in colour and especially when the bronze and pink are used together, it creates a gorgeous pop of dusky pink, winter tan look that I love.

The consistency again is soft and dreamy to blend, nothing full on thankfully. It might have slight shimmer but none obvious whatsoever. A beach must-have I'd say and for £13.90, you're getting a blusher, bronzer and a highlighter which you cannot beat! In your face, you freaking expensive NARS.

After two gorgeous products from KIKO, I was pretty sure I wasn't going to like their Limited Edition Wet and Dry Eye Shadow Palette in Peach Lake. Because you cannot like everything from a brand now can you? Surprisingly enough, the eye shadows in here are pigmented and matte finish besides one that's shimmery.

The finish is almost undetectable on the lids, much like most high-end eye shadows that I have tried. The ones I can compare it to are Urban Decay and Dolce & Gabbana. They look polished and subtle on the lids without any metallic finish or obvious glitter that I personally dread wearing outside. A look with these is on its way ladies.

Where was this all my life? I love experimenting with affordable yet niche make-up brands and trying out new stuff especially as seasons change and I want to refresh my vanity by giving it a good spring clean and replenishing it with new finds. If you're a sucker for packaging, you'll love these.
