Ladies, if you are a Concealer geek like myself and are looking for a full coverage, non-cakey cream concealer for very dark circles or to cover acne scars/blemishes, then try the Starter Kit by Vichy Dermablend that comes with sample sizes of their stick concealers so you can mix and match the shades or find your perfect one without forking out for the full size one. These are highly similar to MAC's Studio Finish Concealer.
I have been constantly using these products from my make-up stash and it was high time they were featured here. First up is is the super lush brush from Cover FX. This is their Power Brush if I am correct made of synthetic hairs but it is the densest brush I have come across till date and has a unique shape, that is longer and narrower than other brushes making it pick up a tonne of product. Great for all over face and body bronzer as well for less pigmented products.
When it comes to the cheeks, I have been loving softly lit, glow from within, radiant blushers instead of the in your face matte blushes. A perfect combination to achieve a soft focus glow on the cheeks is Sisleys Phyto Blush Eclat in Pinky Rose and Clinique's Fresh Bloom All Over Colour in Peony Blend. If you cannot stand chunky, glittery powder highlighters then this one by Clinique is what you should go for as it doesn't exaggerate pores and glides on beautifully. It compliments Sisley's barely there pinky flush quite well!
For the eyes, Clinique Lid Smoothie is the newest addition to my favourites. Keeping in line with my natural preference for make-up these days, this one's creamy enough not to look cakey and creases very little. It's somewhere in between MAC's Paint Pots and their Eye Paint's. My favourite at present is a washed out blackcurrant shade called 'Currant Affair'. Just perfect for this season!
Soap & Glory's eye shadow palette has also been calling out to me lately as you just cannot go wrong with the neutrals in here. Plus their quality is brilliant, pretty similar to the dreamy texture of DKNY Eye Shadows hence I love wearing them in the cold weather.
An unusual favourite is the Barry M liquid liner. I have this from years and ditched it in the middle as it is difficult to use especially with its super fat applicator. However, after years of practice I do like using it now and the colour is such a gorgeously intense carbon black.
A bit of a Clinique-heavy post this is becoming isn't it? I have been loving the modern revamp they have given to their existing line of make-up products recently.
The shade I've been digging lately in their Chubby Sticks is is Woppin Watermelon. It's an innocent, baby pink. Almost on the edge of looking tarty on tanned skin but manages to look girly and sweet. It's quite a teenager shade this one is but I love it for how fresh and young this makes me look.
