Alesha Dixon, the Beauty Ambassador for Avon has introduced 13 more shades in their Nailwear Pro + range with their formulas apparently reformulated. I love Avon Nail Paints is a fact. But I do hate their formula is another fact. What's even more annoying is how beautifully they apply, how glossy and radiant they appear on application and how pathetically and quickly they chip on the nails in just 12 hours, let alone the 12 days that Avon claims.

I am a busy person and don't have the time to keep topping up my Nail Paint and I am sure most of us expect any standard varnish to last more than 3 days at least. Unfortunately this does not live up to the claim of having a strong formula and lasting more than a week.

Will I still be wearing them? Of course. For £5 a pop, the colours in the range are bright, super glossy and fabulous, very Chanel-esque so it's not going to break the bank for sure if you want to experiment without worrying about longevity.

Has anyone else had the same problem or am I the odd one here?

If you have read my Dove Haircare post recently, you will know I have been loving my haircare to protect or enhance my colour recently rather than the usual. It's been a good 6 months since I had my hair dyed and it's amazing how using these products have seriously made the colour more brighter and fresh, as if I may have coloured it a month ago!

It can be slightly tricky to find decent products that work with your hair type (count mine as dry, damaged and frizzy!) especially when they are geared towards hair colour. My personal favourites are Dove and Andrew Barton. Dove everyone's heard of of course but Andrew Barton is a less talked about new discovery that I have been obsessed with since the last few months.

Andrew is a hairstylist of the 10 years younger fame and I love how he makes his products intensely hydrating and amazing value for money. That huge pot of hair mask you see above retails for under a fiver which in my opinion is god sent for long haired girls like myself. I won't blabber much about the ingredients but whatever it is, it works miraculously at sealing in the moisture, bringing out the faded colour and protecting hair from heat damage, be it the sun or the hair tools.

The range is available at Asda and I definitely recommend checking it out when your in one. I usually like to travel light but I am planning to squeeze these bottles in for my trip to India! Fingers crossed they don't leak.

Available from the 6th of September, Liz Earle will be retailing limited edition bottles of their Cleanse & Polish Hot Cloth Cleanser but with a Rose and Lavender twist to it, perfect to rewind after a long, hectic day.

I have always been a fan of hot cloth cleansers be it whatever brand. There is just a serene sense of calmness attached to them that is a refreshing change from energising face washes used with a cold splash of water. The regime of slathering a luke warm muslin cloth over the face, removes make-up and thoroughly gives a deep cleanse like none other.

The original Cleanse & Polish has a lovely woody, citrusy scent to it, quite delicious really. This one however is for all you floral fans out there who'd love the warm and smoky lavender dashed through it alongside the sweet and romantic rose notes residing at the very heart of it.

Besides the classic product it already is, the addition of the classy packaging and the newly added rose and lavender essential oils, £2 from every purchase of this product will be donated to the Prince's Trust in association with its Tomorrow Campaign, to help develop young people through providing them with jobs and training them for it. Quite an apt cause I would say considering the current economic climate in the UK.

If you have always been a fan of this cult-favourite product, you'll want to get your hands on the limited edition bottle for sure.

Hiya lovelies!

Hope everyone's having a lovely weekend :-)

Apologies for the delay in posting today's Surprise Sunday post. I'll be off on a holiday from next Sunday onwards hence no Surprise Sunday from next week until I return :-( However to make up for that, the goodies for today's giveaway are a little more than usual!

Oh and also, just for this week, the giveaway will end on Thursday 6th September midnight GMT so I can pick the winners and dispatch the prize before I fly.

What do we have here then? Almost everything that I found cute and something you guys would like. The super colourful palette is a new one by Superdrug. Miner's After Dark Lip glosses are also quite cool with 3D glitter in it. There's also a hair treatment oil as I find many girls ignore using it alongside 24 Karat Gold Dust by Jane Iredale which is such a multi-purpose product.

The winner of last week's Surprise Sunday is Halima from Designer Spray! Congratulations girl :) Email on your way.

As usual to enter, simply leave your name and email address in the comments below.
