I will try to do as many posts as I can on the weekend though as I simply despise ignoring the blog. I thought what better than a Weekly Favourites posts eh?
I have been enjoying using these products lately and if you haven't given them a try, then definitely do!
In no particular order, NYC Expert Last Nail Polish in Faithful Fuchsia.
I love the bright dolly pink colour. It flatters my skin tone really well in my opinion. However the colour is not its USP. It lasts on the nails for a 5 days if not 7 like it claims to. I also found that it did not chip or smudge and dried almost instantly.
For me, its more about a quick and convenient fuss-free mani rather then the colour and this is definitely a perfect candidate.
Oh where were you Bourjois Healthy Mix Foundation from all this time?
I am regretful of the fact that I did not discover this gem of a product any earlier. Surely I had heard fabulous reviews from fellow bloggers but hey just imagine if I'd go purchasing everything that was raved about. So I gave it a miss but my fellow make-up geeks, this isn't average, its something special.
After Revlon Colourstay, this is the only foundation I can trust on lasting an entire day without getting overtly oily or worrying about it fading, smudging or smearing all over the face.
It gives a slightly dewy semi-matte satin like finish, adapts slightly to one's skin tone, gives medium coverage which is buildable, is a dream to blend and has a fruity smell to it. Shade 53 with yellow-beige undertones is perfect for NC25-NC35 according to me. Two thumbs up!
Paula's Choice Anti-Aging Clear Skin Hydrator has helped me tremendously in keeping my skin clear and hydrated throughout the day for the past two weeks in my hectic schedule. It's perfect for my combination-dry-sensitive skin and deals with breakouts pretty effectively.
It leaves me with a lovely radiant complexion and seems just perfect for the winter when I need that extra bit of hydration. It also has anti-ageing properties and contains ingredients to target discolouration, which is apparently quite evident in Asian skin tones.
I hugely appreciate the pump dispenser that it comes along as it makes use quite convenient and hygienic. Surely deserves a try!
Now that we are on Skin Care, I have to mention Skin Wisdom's Instant Benefits Eye Roll On. This has been a best friend to my puffy eyes and dark circles lately and I just cannot do without it now.
The roll-ball is so cooling when applied under the eyes in the morning. I like to massage it for about 30 seconds in windshield wiper motions to get rid of any toxins gathered in that area. I like the fact that it comes in a squeezable tube so you can get more use out of it.
It aids 'microcirculation and drainage' and contains light reflecting particles to give an illusion of a brighter under eye area. The serum itself is pretty hydrating and needs to be patted in to be fully absorbed. You can find Skin Wisdom at your local Tesco.
MAC Paintpot in Groundwork is literally the only thing I have been wearing on my eye lids when I am in a hurry to leave. Although not a drastically stunning colour, it is a cool taupe on my skin tone and quickly evens any discolouration on the lids and leaves a nice polished look.
Surprisingly its just the right consistency, not too dry or creamy and does not budge or crease. I really want to get a few more colours due to how convenient and fool proof these are.
Phew. Apologies for one heck of a long post. I shall break it down next time.
It's your turn now. Share your recent favourites with us?
