Shiseido Luminizing Satin Face Color

Was used for the Marc Jacobs show in New York Fashion Week for fresh, youthful look.

I haven't seen many Shiseido counters in London hence never gave into purchasing them. Secondly, I always get the brand confused with Shu Uemura due the funny pronunciation they share.

The Luminizing Satin Face Color is a satin-finish blush for a radiant complexion.

The simple yet chic packaging is ingenious. It's the sleekest blush container amongst the ones I have forcefully fitted into my shallow MUJI storage. Plus, it comes with decent sized mirror and a usable brush which does not scratch the face and is actually quite soft.

It's the product quality that matters at the end of the day and although atrociously chunky packaging might look pretty initially, its surely not practical or travel-friendly. More brands need to consider sleeker packaging.

The shade I have is called Petal. It might look boring in the pan but is the most gorgeous light-yet-bright, retro looking pinky-peach. If MAC's Well dressed had a peachy sibling, it would be this!

I usually am not a fan of Peachy blushers as I feel they clash with my yellow undertone and wash me out. However, this particular shade has just the right amount of pink injected in it to balance it out. Plus the subtle shimmers albeit not obvious, impart a slightly reflective finish on application which prevents the shade from appearing dull and flat.

It is pigmented but I like to layer it on to make sure it lasts longer. You can of course use it higher on the cheekbones for a more sculpted look but I personally like to use this shade on the apples of the cheeks as that soft pop of peach gives a doll-like look.

Available for around £30 at House of Fraser, John Lewis, Feel Unique and Shiseido counters, this one surely deserves a try!

Do you have any Shiseido must-haves that I need to try out?

never tried shiseido yet, but I love this blushers, the peach tone is so neutral.

Wow! The colour looks so pretty but £30 seems a bit steep for a blusher... I think I'd rather buy the Tom Ford one for that price xx

I have been looking for a non-shimmery peachy pink blush. All I own are Nars blushes, which are notorious for their glitter! This looks perfect. Thank you!
