Smoky Eye 101!

There are various ways for creating a smoky eye but this is something I found really useful for beginners or those of you who are not quite fluent in creating one.

I have tried this method quite a few times and although its pretty simple, it complements coloured eyes or those with a hooded eye so well.

It's dramatic yet chic, not overly done and that is exactly how I like to do it.

One thing I learnt from here is to pencil in the liner before starting off the shadow. It really helps elevate the look in my opinion.

My personal favourites for such a look would be:

- Elf Mineral Primer
- MAC Blackground Paintpot
- Matte black eye shadow from any Sleek Palette
- Urban Decay Eye Pencil in Zero
- No 7 Exquisite Curl Mascara

Also, if you want to make a smoky eye more wearable, don't take it above the crease as shown in the video. Simple!
