I don't know about you guys but I have always suffered from cuticle problems. Even if I soak my hands in oil the night before, they end up being dry as soon as they are out there in the cold. Sometimes even to the extent of bleeding, gross I know. But trust me, I hydrate them pretty often but they are too sensitive to survive the cold hence I always keep them protected in gloves.
I recently tried a cuticle pen by Bloom and it has been my saviour in the past few weeks. I am addicted to an extent that I keep reapplying it after every few hours merely because its so convenient to carry around. My coats pocket is its new home :)
The click pen packaging is a winner here, as it is so easy to use and dispenses just the right amount. The applicator is just a perfect size rectangle brush that makes application so much fun! It's like applying nail paint.
I have seriously seen an improvement in my cuticles after using this as it heals any chapped, flaky, dry skin within minutes and keeps the skin around the area conditioned for that entire day. This is also great for precision unlike hand creams which give you sticky hands that are not so great outside home.
The Cuticle Quencher is a great quick fix when you are outside and don't want people to catch a glimpse of your not-so-good-looking cuticles.
Seeing the extent to which I am obsessed with this little pen, I am surely to repurchase this baby. And £8 for healthy cuticles is something I don't mind paying.
p.s. sorry about not being able to take pictures with my camera these days. It's the terrible weather, lots of snow and very little sunlight : (
Using Makeup To Enhance Your Beautiful Self - Reviews, Looks, Hauls and much more!
Those are all the attributes that Mu London's Organic Rose Moisturiser comes with. Overloaded with Organic Skincare yet? Well I have some more for you ladies!
Mu London's Organic Rose Moisturiser.
Luxury 100% organic face moisturiser with Rose otto oil, Rosehip Extract and Rosemary. This amazing trio will pamper, balance and nourish dry, irritated and sensitive skin. 60ml (2 oz).
'The essential oil of rose I use is certified organic and steam distilled - it is not solvent-extracted, as is the case with the cheaper rose absolute.
Thirty roses must be used to make a single drop of Rose Otto - this is why this oil is the most precious essential oil in the world.
The Rosehip extract I use to make this moisturiser not only feeds the skin, but also imparts a healthy shimmer and a rosy glow to the skin.'
Why is this different from other moisturisers? Because this is something that hydrates my dry skin really well in this extreme winter without breaking it out. It is super concentrated as it contains no water hence I expected it to cause at least some breakout which is did not.
The key is to use only a pea sized amount and then warm it slightly between the fingers before applying it. I don't even feel the need to use an eye cream with this as it works pretty well near the eyes too without causing them to irritate.
This is especially formulated for sensitive skin that gets irritated often and I find this perfect for my combination-sensitive skin. The texture is like butter once warmed up between the fingers. It keeps my skin moisturised for quite a few hours with a lovely dewy glow to it. I also noticed it makes my skin more plum and looking fresh. I love to use this on my hands too as it works well on dry areas of the body. Did I tell you it smells like roses?
The pot is pretty huge and knowing that you have to use only a pea sized amount, this is never going to finish ladies! The consistency of this is like frozen yogurt which you have to get used to. It is a bit hard and you need to scrape off the cream. However I don't mind doing this knowing that this is fully packed of all the natural goodness and contains no man made chemicals or mineral oils.
I would highly recommend this for any body with dry-combination skin that is sensitive. If you are looking for something to drench your skin this winter, this is it! and I promise it will last you several winters not just one.
Besides rose, they do Marigold, Lavender, Organic White Chocolate and Hemp moisturisers.

Blue eyes and peach lips? I thought they would look a bit drag together but fortunately they worked out well and here it is.
The eyes are using a the Sleek Bad Girl Palette. On the cheeks, I have a peachy blusher from MyFaceCosmetics and on the lips I am wearing a nude peach colour from MAC, topped up with Eyeko's London Lip gloss.
Below I am wearing MAC Face & Body Foundation with some Select Cover Concealer. I was dreading wearing this foundation a few weeks back as it has separated in just a few months and although I could not see that visibly, I could feel I was mixing two liquids together whilst it was on my face.
Well it is still the same but I have gotten used to it as its end results are just like they were originally. Hmm maybe its not separated then? And separating does not always mean spoilt eh? Because it smells and looks just fine.
Trust me girls, this foundation is to die for, only if its shelf life would be prolonged or they could start selling it in smaller containers rather than humongous bottles that go bad easily. Tut Tut MAC!
I really like this nude peach colour form MAC. It has a gorgeous semi-matt finish to it and topped with gloss looks delicious! The name of the colour remains unknown as its from my lip palette hence a close up shot.
What look have you been sporting recently? Any take on MAC's Face & Body?
Yes and No.

Demi Moore, Jennifer Aniston and many other celebs are supposedly addicted to this little wonder for that instant pick-me-up. But what works for them might not work us eh? It sure did not for me. Maybe I don't have a hooded eye in the first place. My eyes are pretty open and wide with no droopiness to them whatsoever, so that may be the reason I could not see the results.
I tried using these on my mum and my grandma and they found it pretty decent to be honest. Bear in mind that my mum and gran suffer from extremely droopy, wrinkly lids so the effects were slightly more visible on them.
How to use?
These are bean shaped plastic strips which you have to place on the crease of the eye lid for an instant lifting effect.
I found placing them a little tricky because if placed wrongly they did in fact create some sagging skin. This was because I placed the strip exactly on the droopy part. The trick is to place it slightly above the crease, or the area of the eyelid which is droopy. It is suggested that you use on strip per eyelid but I found placing two strips provided more of a lift.
I would say this is one of those products that is a miss for some and a hit for the rest. I have heard quite a few people who enjoy using this.
Plus it works in extreme cases of droopy eyes or hooded eyes in my opinion, not on every eyelid. So if you suffer from these then these are worth a try for £29.99 for the coming party season, especially when you will have late nights and tired eyes. You can even wear this under make-up as they are transparent!
