Do you have problems finding the perfect blue eyeshadow or eyeliner? I always do. However the new pieces from Illamasqua's Art of Darkness Collection have wooed me over. I have in my possession Liquid Metal in Superior (£17) and Pure Pigment in Alluvium (£15).

This is metallic saphire colour as described by the website. "Prepare to dazzle with this gloriously rich and highly pigmented metallic cream. Use to adorn eyes, face and body, and apply with fingers or a brush. Release your inhibitions and illuminate your alter ego."

This is described as an iridescent midnight blue by the website. "Made to be played with. A metallic, high-shine, pure-colour powder that highlights eyes, cheeks and brows. Mix with eye shadow, blusher or use it on its own to intense effect. Bring out your bold side."

The containers as huge in my opinion and they are likely to last you for long! Both the shades look magnificent in the containers and transfer exactly the same on skin too.

I have heard of Liquid Metals creasing on the lids hence I don't intend to use this as an eyeshadow base however you could if you wish. Just make sure you use a tiny bit and don't apply it directly on the crease area, that way you can prevent creasing. This will definitely act as a rich metallic base to make any of your eye shadows pop. Very dramatic and richly pigmented.

The Pure Pigment is absolutely stunning as a loose eyeshadow. They are very similar to MAC pigments if you'd like a comparison but these are much more softer in texture and even in consistency compared to them. They are not gritty at all and again a tiny bit is all you will need to cover the eye area. What I have shown in the picture below is the amount I would use for demonstration, not for the eyes.

This is a gorgeous blue-purple with gold shimmer. This is all I have used below and look how well it blends itself in the crease giving a gradient blended effect. Would be a perfect candidate for smokey eyes. I want to use it with a black eye shadow - would look beautiful!

I like to use the Liquid Metal as a liner for the upper lash line and the water line. It works wonders to brighten up the eyes, enhance its whiteness and look chic without appearing over the top. This is such an interesting alternative to black  Try this to line the upper water line with a liner brush.

It even seems to work with my green contact lenses. I thought green and blue would clash!

I am wearing the Liquid Metal in Superior on the upper lash line and waterline in these pictures as an alternative to black liner and I loved it. The rest of the face includes MAC Face and Body Foundation in C3, MAC Select Cover up Concealer in NC30, MAC Well Dressed Blusher, Rimmel Stay Matte Pressed Powder in Sandstorm (04), DiorShow Mascara and a mixture of some lipsticks from my MAC lip palette.

What do you like from the Art of Darkness Collection? Overall the collection is mesmerising and the products are fantastic in quality as expected from Illamasqua.

Check it out here.

Here we go with something crazy again. Not wearable for the daytime of course. I would wear it to a fun party or a night out with the girls. I initially only intended to keep this as a simple look with the blended eye shadows and a liner but then added the feathery lashes and a blue liner to make it more dramatic and visually appealing.

I mainly used my all time favourite MAC's Royal Assets Warm Eyes palette to create this look. It has some gorgeous neutrals and some glamorous shades too which makes it a perfect candidate for a fun look.

Products used:

- ELF Primer
- MAC Bamboo Eyeshadow dusted all over the lids
- MAC Star Violet Eyeshadow from the warm eyes palette used heavily in the crease
- MAC Sunday best Eyeshadow from the warm eyes palette used to highlight the brow bone
- MAC Club Eyeshadow from the palette used all over the lids
- Givenchy Parad Eyes Liner used to line the upper and lower lash line
- Barry M White Kohl Pencil used to line the lower and upper water line
- Purple glitter by Jinny Rainbow
- Lashes by Eldora

Have you heard of the Denman's Tutti Frutti Hairbrushes? Well they are an adaptation of his already famous D3 Classic Styling Brush but with some added fragrance to them.

They come in a variety of delicious flavours such as Strawberry Shortcake, Green Apple, Lemon Sherbet, Wild Dewberry and Coconut. I have Green Apple and the smell always makes me hungry! The fragrance however does not transfer to the hair or clash with one's perfume.

The brush itself is of a very good quality - quite sturdy and anti static. It makes my hair seem slightly polished after use too! I like to use it for blow drying as it works great for that because of the way its made.

"It's Medium styling brush with 7 rows of nylon pins. The famous Denman anti-static rubber pad provides maximum grip and control during blow-drying for shaping hair. The most famous styling brush in the world!"

It retails for £7 which I believe is quite reasonable as other hair brushes in Superdrug and Boots are anyway quite expensive. So If I am paying the same price, I would rather opt for something like this which looks pretty cute and smells rather amazing.

Available from Boot's, Superdrug, Sainsbury's and John Lewis.

Philosophy have come up with their new bath and body range called Blackberry Blossom designed especially for this upcoming season. What better than this scrumptious fruit to get inspired from! The white and purple packaging is really beautiful and the pump dispenser in the body lotion has made it a staple on my dresser.

Philosophy have captured the essence of fresh, fragrant wild blackberry blossoms and infused it into two indulgent treats for your body and soul.

Wild blackberry blossom body lotion is formulated with multiple moisturizing agents, including shea butter, to hydrate and soften skin, leaving it feeling silky smooth to the touch. the lightweight, extra fluffy formula melts easily into skin, while sending your senses into blackberry.

Wild blackberry blossom shampoo, shower gel & bubble bath is philosophy's pick for the perfect jumpstart to your day. experience bushels of fun as you lather and enjoy the sweet and tart, blackberry-licious scent

The body lotion is so light and velvety and gets easily absorbed into the skin. Great for those who don't like the feeling of having sticky hands after moisturising. It disappears into the skin quickly, which might lead to some thinking that it is not quite moisturising but I think its adequate enough to hydrate the body and keep the skin soft and supple. The fruity fragrance is pretty strong and lingers around for quite a while after applying this lotion which I quite like to be honest.

The other product is a 3 in 1 - bubble bath, shower gel and shampoo. I haven't used it as a shampoo as I don't like experimenting with my hair, however I like to use this as a shower gel and bubble bath as the purple coloured liquid is so fun to work with and smells delicious making bath time a treat!

Philosophy’s wild blackberry blossom shower gel is £13.00 and the body lotion is £19.75 and is available from selfridges and QVC.

I have been using this brush obsessively since the past few weeks and I thought it was high time it deserved some praise. It's a tapered blending brush by Sigma. It's quite fluffy and large compared to my other brushes but that's what I like about it.

It covers a large surface area in no time and is great not only for blending any harsh edges for the eye shadows but it works brilliantly for concealer as well. It's in fact the best brush I have tried to apply concealer till date.

I am not going to compare this to the MAC 224 because firstly I haven't tried the 224 and secondly Sigma have changed their brush names now and have a well established identity to be able to market themselves without being compared to other brands.

I will however compare this to the other similar blending brushes I have. The first from the left is the Sigma E40. Then is my Aurifere 480 which has a very pointed edge so great for getting into the crease. Next is MAC's 217 which is also a tapered blending brush but its pinched from the ferrule so its rather flat from the side. We then have a tapered crease by Coastal Scents which is quite similar in shape to the Sigma E40 but smaller and condensed. And lastly the fluffy blending brush by Coastal Scent.

These brushes work differently for various purposes but my favourite has to be Sigma E40. It is the perfect size for concealing under the eyes and other larger areas of the face. It's fluffy, very soft and of amazing quality. Stays the same after several washes too!

I got this as a part of the face and eyes kit by Sigma. It also retails individually for $9.
