The Next Studio Sculpt Concealer?

Its oil-free and waterproof, Yay!

I have tried MAC's Studio Sculpt Concealer in stores on numerous occasions trying hard to get myself to buy it due to all the rave around it. But I always find it's consistency very thick and it seems to stick to dry patches around my eye area and looks cakey! It may work for you but it does not for me.

I did manage to find something similar though. Milani's Secret Cover Concealer- Voila!

This one comes in a cute little pot, much like that of MAC's Tinted Lip Conditioner which is pretty convenient for a concealer. I am not a fan of the gold colored screw top, but otherwise the container is pretty sleek.

Not to forget, this comes with 7.7 grams of product as compared to a mere 5mls of product that MAC's Moisture Cover came with, which is a complete rip-off for £12.50!

The consistency of this is very much like Studio Sculpt, just a little less 'wet' if you know what I mean. It is more of a whipped cream consistency than the gel like formula of Studio Sculpt.

This is extremely light on the skin hence blends like a dream. Because of its weightless texture, it does not cling to dry patches on skin or get into fine lines. I have some fine lines under my eyes where I always get creasing but this controls creasing pretty well I must say.

It stays put for quite a few hours after which it slightly fades and you would need to touch up. You only need to one or two dabs of this products under the eyes hence the pot should last for ages!

As for the shade range goes, Milani has 8 shades in total I believe. Surprisingly this is the lightest they have! This seems to me like an NW25, so good news for Asian and darker skin tone ladies :)

Only the first two shades would suit medium skin tones as the rest of the 6 shades are pretty dark, so those of you's with darker skin tones, go check this line out today!

The color I got, Warm Beige 1 has is a yellowy-beige concealer with salmon undertones to it. If you see the swatches above, this one has the right amount of beige, yellow and salmon tones. I hardly see salmon-peachy undertones in drugstore concealers, so well done Milani!

I would say this is an improved version of MAC Studio Sculpt, hence the title of the post. I find Milani's color range and texture very comparable to Eve Pearls Concealers. This has a dewy finish, neither matte nor overly glowy. This surely puts Bobbi Brown's Concealers to shame, as they crease like hell AND make a huge hole in the pocket.

I got this for £4 from a random pharmacy in Stratford Mall (London). You can easily get this in the US as that's where it origniates from I believe. I am pretty sure I have seen a few of them scattered on Ebay and Cherryculture.com too.

Overall, one word- Impressive.

More Hauling & Giveaway prizes!

I forgot to include some items in the last haul post guys! Plus I received my giveaway prizes from Computergirl's giveaway that I won so wanted to update you guys on that. Go check her blog out if you haven't yet :)

So continuing from last time, I got a Gosh Bronzer in 06 if I am correct. This was on sale plus the container is huge so I thought might as well. Also this reminded of the Illuminating Bronzers Bobbi Brown had released a while ago. It is fairly matte so it cant resemble those bronzers in finish but it is a lovely tawny rose color, a pinky-brown which should be a staple in every makeup geeks collection.

I received MAC's Eyeshadow in Bamboo as one of my giveaway prizes and am loving it! It looks pretty boring in the pan and I thought it would not even show up on my skin, however it is in fact a matte tan color for me. I cannot wear this on the browbone as its far too dark for my NC30 complexion. But it is stunning to use in the crease and as a blender shade, must have!

Next up is Rimmels Volume Boosting Lip Plumping Lip Gloss in Seduce. Its the most gorgeous nude-beige color with a hint of caramel, no wonders a seducing shade for sure! It just can't go wrong on any skintone. When worn alone provides the most luscious natural lips. It works wonders over a lipstick as it changes the color into something really pretty. I got this in sale too so totally worth it. It is overtly glossy and stays put, comes with a lovely doe foot applicator and has a minty feel to it.

I also won the Natural Collection Lip Liner in Honey in the giveaway. This is surprisingly very nice in texture, blends well is and is amazingly pigmented. It's a gorgeous peachy brown shade which I love sporting all over the lips and finishing off with the Rimmel Lipgloss. If you are enjoying the look of the Peach Stock Lipstick from MAC's Liberty collection, this liner is not to miss.

The Philosophy Candy Hearts Lipgloss was also included in my prizes. This smells amazing, tastes even better and is such a pretty berry shade. It is quite thick hence you only need a bit. It immediately adds a berry tint on the lips and is lovely over a lipstick too!

After having quite a false eyelash collection, I gave into purchasing the world famous Duo Eyelash Adhesive. This one is in white and dries clear which is good for beginners as even if you create a mess it wont be seen. I found this pretty expensive for the tiny tube and to me it works strictly okay. It took like 3 minutes to dry and the inner corners still never managed to stick properly. I have no idea what the hype is all about. I guess its because its the only eyelash adhesive that everyone knows of! I infact prefer the glue that came along with my Eldora Lashes.

Anyways, that's enough of my rambling for now. Hope you guys enjoyed the post!
