If you guys did not know, I just love palettes! Anything that comes in a palette form is on my wish list. I just adore the fact that they are compact, value for money and uber convinient. No matter how adorable the packaging may be, I am bound to depot them.Hence the purchase. This time around I got two eyeshadow palettes, a Gosh Quad and the infamous NYX Runway Palette.
Talking about the Gosh Quad first, this was my first time with them. I had always wondered how they would turn out to be as they look so tempting in their sleek case and uber funky colors.
I got the quad in 48 Grand Passion. They are all shimmery pastel colors with a pearly finish. The pearly green is something I did not have hence I really like it. Also the taupey brown color is highly similar to Mac's Satin Taupe which might come pretty handy as a dupe/backup.
Overall, the pigmentation is not the best you can find and you need to pile on a bit for the color to show up but I like it for everyday subtle looks where it gives the right amount of sheen and a nice wash of color. This was £7 I believe.
Coming to the NYX Runway Palette, I had a lot of expectations from it due to the hype. Its supposed to be an amalgamation of NYX's best colors. I got the one in Catwalk as I am a fan of everyday neutral colors and can't get enough of them.
The shimmery-pearly colors are absolutely great! I always am on the look for great base colors which are warm toned and you have a beautiful selection of those in this palette. I find this much more economical then investing in base colors woth £10 each from Mac when they are not even that unique!
However there are some satin-matte colors like the peach and the pink which are absolutely bland and dont show up no matter how much you apply. I have certainly seen better pigmentation from NYX's single eyeshadows, so this could have been better.
Overall, I do not mind it for the value which was around $8 but I wont be getting more of these palettes and would rather custom make my eyeshadow palettes or invest in NYX's single shadows which are gorgeous.

I love palettes too!!! Love all my eyeshadows in one place, instead of fiddlin through all my singles looking for shades. You just sold me the Runway Palette. Off to order!!! haha.

wownthe nyx pallet looks gorjus! i love pallets too infact i dont own many since shadows and the ones i do, majority of them have been depotted n popped right into a pallet
I absolutely love palettes because they are economical and convenient! I have a NYX 10 color one in Jazz Night and the same thing goes with this one as yours.. the colors are either hit or miss. Love most of them but a few duds! I really want to try this runway palette though. The colors look really versatile.

I got the Coastal Scents 88 Matte Palette. It's great. I love it. It's all warm shades. Coastal scents has other great stuff, you should check it out.

That Gosh palette does look nice for everyday,I keep meaning to try one of their quads and that one looks like my kind of shades.
I'm a sucker for palettes too, like you I love the ease of a palette. I have this nyx palette and although I love it I do find that I get a little fallout from this one! But it was extremely cheap =) xx
I love palettes too which is why I always hesitate to buy singles. The NYX Runway Palette looks so good! Really liking the 3rd n 4th color from the second row

I'm with you girl. Perhaps it is the lazy girl in me, but I love anything in palette form. My current fav is one from Chanel I had a while back, but I find the Bobbi Brown ones you make yourself and the Urban Decay eyeshadow ones are cute too. I have been wanting that NYX palette for a while...I am so off to search it out this week!
Hey, I have the NYX palette in Champagne & Caviar.. This too is a collection of neutrals. I agree with you on the payoff - the singles give far better payoff as compared to the palette, however i wld just get 3 singles for the price I paid for the palette so I am happy with the palette considering the cost and all :D
I like the colors in this NYX palette. I have two NYX palettes myself and I like them, but although I thought they could be nice for traveling they do tend to break easily so be careful with it. :)

i am a die-hard fan of neutral colors too...i believe they are no-fuss absolutely :) work wonders on Indian skin tones, especially mine, which is typical Indian :)
did u check the Sleek limited edition palette @ superdrug? they might not be unique shades, but being a limited edition stuff...thought of informing u...i believe there are more neutral shades in that palette...save crazy yellow :) take care my dear maltese...
