Beauty UK Eyeshadow Palette - a review

So this is a review for the Beauty UK Eyeshadow Palette. This is available in UK only I guess at superdrugs, ebay, or anywhere online. The shadows in this palette are not very special I would have to say as to its quality and texture.

I feel they are a tad bit powdery. Regarding the pigmentation I would not say its bad, as they are meant to be pastel colors and are meant to apply like that, but their staying power is not superb too :S So pigmentation overall is pretty decent as we know sometimes even MAC shadows dont turn out strong!

I wouldnt recommend it for darker skintones though as the color wont simply turn out and will end up looking chalky. This happened with me too although I am a NC35 :O However, I would definately ask you to check these out firstly as they retail for £3!!! (I KNOW!!) and secondly they make fabulous dupes for MAC eyeshadows and lastly they are pretty wearable day time shades.

Pale gold - Soft Cranberry EOTD

This is a really soft look too, although a bit on the shimmery/metallic side. I created it using the Sleek Eyeshadow Palette in Storm.

The eyes were primed using MAC painterly.

Overall eyecolor used is from the sleek palette - pale gold (third right in the upper row).

The deep cranberry color from the palette is placed in the outer v using a stiff crease brush and is then blended with the pale gold using a fluffy blending brush.

The pale gold and cranberry color are placed on the lower lashline both meeting half way.

Top it up with a liquid eyeliner - I used Collection 2000 Fast stroke eyeliner and then lined it with the matte black eyeshadow from the sleek palette using a eyeliner brush for a neat finish!

MAC Studio Fix Powder - a review

I recently felt the urge to get a foundation that would suffice my 'on-the-go' criteria and thus decided to try this out. There are not many full coverage powder foundations in the market today and regarding that, this is pretty good stuff! It is considerably very easy to apply and thats the best thing about it. You can get a superior finish in minutes. I would say the best thing to use with this foundation would be a brush or a sponge, infact a brush would deposit a tad too much so you would be better off with the sponge that comes with it.

What I find awesome about the product is the amazing shade range they have in store for it. Also I love the pigmentation! I mean look at the pic above and you can see thats the color payoff you get on one swipe, yea just ONE!! But this can also be of a problem with some of you heavy handed gurlies coz it can easily look very cakey if not applied sparingly :S specially coz its absolutely matte in texture.

So overall, this is worth trying for £18.60 specially as it delivers quality. You can use it for your lazy days and apply this in minutes, use it as a finishing powder over your foundation or just keep it handy for touch ups! Plus it will last you ages as you only need a bit :)
