I am kind of skeptical about this purchase. I mean I really like the fact that it does give me dewy skin in seconds. It will be particularly useful for those who wear powder or mineral powder foundations and want to avoid the cakey looking pores. Two to three sprays are more than enough and you will look glowing as ever! I can see myself carrying this with me to uni and spraying it in midday to refresh my makeup.
I really adore its cucumber enriched fragrance too. The fact that you get 100ml for £11 also seems justifiable when you compare it to dupes such as The Body Shop Vitamin E face mist which also retails for around £8. I mean why not get MAC eh? I am kind of a pretence that way :p
However I seriously doubt the fact that it will penetrate several layers of my makeup and hydrate my skin?! I assume they meant that to apply to bare skin which actually works. It does act like a light moisturiser when applied on bare skin prior to applying makeup.
It is quite multitasking if mixed with powder eyeshadows and pigments to apply them wet. Although I really think even eyedrops work for that purpose. (Yes I have tried that too)
On the whole, I genuinely belive this is a fancy indulgence which anyone can do without. I doubt I'll repurchase this not because I dont like it but because I have seen similar 'refreshing' results with rose water, Revlon Skinlights Illuminator or even plain water!
Any of you's who like this product to death? Any more potential uses for it you suppose?
Hope you beautiful people had a lovely Christmas and Hope you have a safe New Year :D
♥
I don;t get what all the fuss is about and barely use mine.
I had it used it and prefer to make my own. I really was not anymore impressed than with homemade and I prefer to save the $$ and buy something pretty instead.
Great justification for spending ;)am yet 2 try, will let u know then! thnq 4 d review, hun :)
happy new year 2 u and ur family as well!
I get the whole idea behind it but it's just not something I'm interested in really. I already own products that provide a natural looking glow so I won't be buying this anytime soon
so far I have only used this for applying wet shadows, but I agree with you I am sure any regular facial mist will do the same trick
This is great for preparing your face before make up especially for us with dry skin. I also use it for freshening up make up or fixing mineral foundation. One trick I use in the summer is to mix a few sprays into liquid foundation with a tiny amount of moisturiser and it makes a great tinted moisturiser that is the correct colour and melts into your skin.
@QueenPenelope86 - Love the idea of using it to make a tinted moisturiser as I dont have any! :D Fanks hun!
i want to buy one so badddd like right the second i read your post but the mac site is sold out!! omg i wanted to scream! :( and they jacked up the price too! $27!! :(
I don't see what the big deal is with this either and like you hun.. I cant see it penetrating layers of make up. Ive been umming and arring about buying it for a while, but always held off getting it. I think I'll keep it that way to be honest.
xxxx
I've had my bottle for a while now and don't use it everyday. However in the winter my face gets a little dry and when I use powders, it can get a bit flaky. When I use fix plus to set the powder, it actually does give me a bit of moisture and stops the flakiness... but I think there are dupes that can do the same for much cheaper. I hear there is a really good dupe from MARK and I'll probably try that one when I run out.
I just bought MAC's strobe lotion, and I prefer using that to get a dewy look because I can dab it only on the places where I want a glow. But hey, if the hubby wants to treat me to a MAC spree, I'll grab Fix+ just to fill out my collection. I love the tinted moisturizer idea too!!
i really like this just because of it has multipurposes, i use it with eyeshadow, i use it with mineral powder foundations, i use it with cream foundations, i use it to hydrate my skin when its feeling dull and dry through out the day and i use it to get rid of that 'powdery look' after doing my makeup or anyone elses! it just makes the makeup look a lil more like skin IMO.. i can see why many wouldnt fuss about it, bt i love it!
oh n iv tried the body shop one and altho many people would opt for this over macs fix + i felt it was a lil strong because i got a tingly sensation (slightly stingey...only ever so slightly tho) on my skin when i tried it. so for me that is something i may never try again lol
Hope that helps hun xxx
I've never bought fix+ because I don't find the cost justifiable for the amount you get. Instead, I buy mark. mist opportunity! It's the same stuff but it's only $8 instead of $18 (sorry I don't know the pound value :)))
I do wear mineral foundation so I love using this stuff, and I spray it on in the morning to wake my face up a bit.
I use it every day, but mine is rose and I love the smell. I use it on my foundation brush before applying to give a lighter finish, and then after I've done to make it look fresher. I've occasionally used it before as well. I use it also with mineral shadows and pigments. I think it's great but would consider switching to mark as I do know it's just mostly water in a bottle!
Hey There,
I have heard a lot about this product but the reason I didn't but it because my rose water works great as my finishing spray.
Good that I didn't buy it. THanks for the review. :)
Ive tried this once..and never looked back in to this..its not that I dint like it..but its just that I dint find it fascinating...
Yeah same here guys, to me its nothing especial and I would not choose it as one of the few products I could take to a deserted island :p lol
However I do like spraying it on the foundation brush before applying mineral makeup as it provides fuller and natural coverage :)
I wish I could get the mark mist here in the UK :(
Hi there! Great post! You know how I love my rose water! for me, it does the same job of Fix plus so why spend £££ on something that you could easily do without!
finishing spray could also be easily prepared at home my mixing cucumber juice, rose oil, lavander, glycerine and distilled water! xoxo
I've been looking around for a finishing spray but have been having such a hard time deciding on one. Now that I've read your take on MAC's, I'm gonna give this a pass. Homemade one are just as good, after all! :)
happy new year to u and ur family, little puppy
hope u have all d fun and come back with huge haul! take care
Happy New Year to you!!!
And I hardly even use my Fix+, lucky I only have it in travel size 30ml. It's not a must have, I must say. I don't think it "fixes" your makeup as its name suggests, and toners or evian waters would do just the same.
;) Best wishes from Australia
i did a post last month on this very product! there are a gazillion uses for Fix+ Spray. it just really depends on each person and their personal makeup needs... check out my post for some other uses and ideas and see if maybe they help you out!

happy new year!
I want this for myself too but I think it'll be like rose water. I agree that it is an indulgence but I just love the sound of cucumber n vitamins so I might buy it. *Might* :p
♥XX♥
I've had the crap for over a year and I've used it once. It was a waste of money.
Hey Babes, I purchased this for similar reason too. might do a review on it -my side of the story lol!
Every time I wear this i get compliments on my make-up. It kinda blends to give your make up a more natural look. And Have you tried to use it to mix your pigment eyeshadows with? Intense colour.
All those who dislike theirs, let me give you my address... Post it to me please.
@agent_giggles - haha its been a long time since this post and I have started to like it now :p have used up 3 quauters of the bottle lol. But I have to admit it took me a loooong time to get there unlike my other skincare products.
I am soo pissed... I got this for my birthday and I thought that it would SET the makeup on my face... This product is TOTALLY over rated... not happy with it at all
